Cyrus Mistry, the scion of Shapoorji Pallonji Group, died in Palghar near Mumbai on Sunday. Age 54.

In a car, Mistry was traveling from Gujarat to Mumbai. It has been confirmed by Palghar police.

Two others were taken to Gujarat for treatment after the accident on the Surya river bridge in Palghar.

As Mistry's car hit a road divider on the Surya river, it dashed against a retention wall.

Mistry and Jahangir Pandol's bodies have been shifted to Kasa Rural Hospital.

Driver Anayta Pandol and passenger Daryus Pandol have been shifted to a private hospital in Gujarat.

Sadly, my brother Cyrus Mistry has passed away. Unbelievable. Supriya Sule wrote on Twitter: "Rest in peace, Cyrus."

During his time as head of Tata Group affairs between 2012 and 2016, he had a tiff with Ratan Tata.

Through Cyrus Investments Pvt., he owned 18.4% of Tata Sons. Ltd.
